A multifunctional support capable of transferring horizontal and multipoint local vertical loads mainly comprising a distribution beam (1) capable of multipoint local independent transferring of vertical loads, detachable columns (2), a bearing beam (4) and a support base (3) which are assembled in a detachable manner, the distribution beam capable of multipoint local independent transferring of vertical loads being located at the top of the two columns, the two columns being mounted on the support base, the bearing beam being located between the two columns, above the support base, and being connected to the support base, the support base being fixed on a ground surface (5), the distribution beam capable of multipoint local independent transferring of vertical loads, the detachable columns, the support base and the bearing beam being all located in the same plane. The multifunctional support can be used for various experiments such as vertical and horizontal reciprocating and multipoint local independent vertical loading, and can realize, in steps, the loading and restraining fixing of an experimental wall by means of the detachable columns, thereby reducing damage to a test piece caused by the movement of the test piece, and effectively maintaining the damage form of the test piece after loading. Also disclosed is a method for implementing a multifunctional support capable of transferring horizontal and multipoint local vertical loads.
