Disclosed are a simulation test device and method for research on a friction process between tires and a road surface, comprising that: a transmission device is arranged between an actuating device and a central shaft, and the actuating device can drive the central shaft to rotate around the axis of the central shaft through the transmission device; one end of the central shaft is fixedly arranged with a rotating arm; the rotating arm is connected with a transmission case through a loading device; a rotatable master gear and a rotatable test gear are arranged in the transmission case, an intermediate gear is arranged between the master gear and the test gear, the intermediate gear is arranged in the transmission case, the master gear is connected with the reference wheel through a reference universal joint, and the test gear is connected with the test wheel through the test universal joint; and a test track is matched with the reference wheel and the test wheel. The simulation test device can accelerate the abrasion between the tires and the road surface, relatively veritably simulate a slip condition of the tires during running on the road surface, and is free of brake heating problem and relatively low in energy consumption.
