APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANAGING LOCATION OF SMART GRID EQUIPMENT

An apparatus for managing the location of equipment using a QR code is disclosed. The apparatus includes: a QR code extracting unit for extracting an equipment quick response (QR) code and a location QR code simultaneously from one image; a URL obtaining unit for obtaining a first uniform resource locator (URL) address from the equipment QR code and obtaining a second URL address from the location QR code; a communication unit for receiving equipment information based on the first URL address from an equipment management server and receiving location information based on the second URL address; and a location determining part for comparing the equipment information and the location information and determining whether the equipment is in a correct position or not.
