The present invention relates to a negative electrode active material for zinc air secondary batteries, and a zinc air secondary battery comprising the same. Since the negative electrode active material contains a bismuth compound and/or a carbon compound in addition to a zinc compound as a main component, the reversibility of a charge and discharge reaction is improved, and corrosion resistance of zinc is improved. In addition, the dendrite formation during charge and discharge is suppressed, while securing high uniformity on the surface of the electrode. Thus, the zinc air secondary battery including the same has excellent charge/discharge performance and lifespan.
