The present invention relates to a device for extracting and managing terms from a document. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the device for extracting and managing terms from a document includes: a data collector which collects documents including statutory books, regulations, specialized field guides, and manuals published in a network and a database apparatus; a filter device which extracts text data from documents collected through the data collector; a term extractor which extracts the terms from the text data and extracts the core terms, characteristic terms, and related terms therefrom; a term definition extractor which extracts the definition of the terms from the text data; a term manager which links the extracted terms and the extracted definition of the same, and stores, classifies, and outputs the linked terms and definition; a terminology analyzer which analyzes the frequency, definition, and synonyms of the terms extracted by the term extractor; and an output device which provides information related to the terms and the terms registered and classified through the term manager in response to a user request.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
