The present invention relates to an anticancer activity of an extract of Curcuma zedoaria. Specifically, the present invention relates to uses of an extract of Curcuma zedoaria as a composition for preventing or treating cancer, an anticancer sub-agent, and a food composition for preventing or ameliorating cancer, by confirming the effect of inducing apoptosis of cancer cells since the extract of Curcuma zedoaria is cytotoxic to cancer cells, increases intracellular ROS and induces ER-stress response.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
