The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating constipation comprising a Liriope platyphylla extract, Glycyrrhiza uralensis, and cinnamon as active ingredients. According to the present invention, the complex composition containing the Liriope platyphylla extract, Glycyrrhiza uralensis, and cinnamon as active ingredients increases the number of defecation and the weight of excrement; increases the moisture content in the excrement to soften the process of defecation; and increases the thickness of the mucous membrane and muscles and increases the secretion of mucus to improve the bowel function, thereby having an excellent effect on treating constipation so as to be useful for the prevention and treatment of constipation.
