The present invention relates to an underground utilities information acquisition apparatus for exploring a composite pipe using resistivity, capable of acquiring pipe information about underground utilities using a database and a resistivity distribution acquired by a potential difference for each position of the ground, and a method thereof. Precise measurement data for the underground utilities buried under the ground can be secured. The underground utilities information acquisition apparatus includes a measurement unit for measuring position information about the underground utilities, a management unit for learning measurement result information in a database, a pipe determining unit for determining a single pipe or composite pipe, and a pipe information acquisition unit for acquiring the pipe information.
