The present invention relates to a microelectrode array chip and a control method of activity of nerve cells using the same. The microelectrode array chip comprises: a substrate; an electrode pad disposed on a part of the substrate; an electrode disposed on a part of the substrate and connected to the electrode pad; an insulating layer disposed on a portion of the substrate where the electrode is not disposed; and a metal thin film disposed on the insulating layer.
