MRI-guided biopsy targeting set with burst occlusion

The MRI-directed breast biopsy targeting set includes a firing occlusion device for use in positioning a mammography device within a patient. The occlusion device is insertable into the targeting cannula instead of the needle of the biometric device. The targeting set includes a closure and a firing assembly. The firing assembly includes a housing, a latch mechanism, and a release mechanism. The firing assembly responds to the release mechanism to fire the occluder to the desired location within the breast.
