According to the method for evaluating the reliability of the hybrid large curvic gear by using the infrared thermography, a surface of the hybrid large curvic gear is scanned with the infrared thermography camera, and the defect of the hybrid large curvic gear is determined to be defective or not by an infrared image inspection from the measured thermal image data.
