DEVELOPMENT OF YEAST (PICHIA ANOMALA SKM-T) CAPABLE OF RECOVERING pH AND REDUCING CONCENTRATION OF ALUMINUM IN ACIDIFIED AQUATIC ENVIRONMENTS
The present invention is carried out to search for a method to recover a water system acidified by environmental pollution and prevent damage by heavy metal in accordance with acidification. In other words, an experimental system (containing pH 3.4, 1 M Al(OH)_3) is organized to be similar to a polluted soft water lake and a yeast, which is Pichia anomala, having an ability to absorb heavy metal is cultivated. A cultivation solution represented pH of 5.6 or higher from the fifth day of cultivation, and P. anomala absorbed aluminum included in the cultivation solution into the microbial cell during a cultivation period (absorption rate: 41.879.48%).
