The present invention relates to a tracking pulse repetition frequency (PRF) selection method in a medium pulse repetition frequency (MPRF) mode in aircraft radar, and aircraft radar using the same to prevent a target from being positioned in a clutter zone (blind zone) in the aircraft radar. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the tracking PRF selection method in an MPRF mode in aircraft radar comprises: a step of defining a permitted area in a range and a Doppler zone to tract a predicted target in a clear zone; a step of deriving a pulse repetition interval (PRI) and a PRF candidate group satisfying a common limitation condition in the range zone and the Doppler zone for the defined permitted area; a step of selecting a PRF candidate closest to the center of the permitted area in the PRF candidate group as an optimal PRF; and a step of selecting a tracking PRF satisfying a common limitation condition in the range zone and the Doppler zone in accordance with a speed and a range of the target based on the selected optimal PRF.
