This disclosure describes a software means for effective biosecurity based on community knowledge and participation. The annotation means described herein provide assistance to the synthetic biology community to keep track of advanced science for the link between individual proteins and negative results. The screening means described herein allow the community to broaden both the interest and effective implementation of biosecurity to ensure that practitioners and biological sequences or constructors are empowered to assess the safety of order requests rather than waiting for synthesis or even manifestation. In addition, the screening means described herein provide screening of the polynucleotide across the same or multiple orders for sequences related to deleterious biological sequences from the reference database.
