The present invention relates to a method for using a mammal other than human as an animal model of GIT1 (G protein-coupled receptor kinase interacting protein) gene-deficient hetero type showing attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) phenotype, and a screening method of an ADHD therapeutic agent using an animal model. The animal model of the GIT1 gene-deficient hetero type of the present invention can be used as an animal model which is more susceptible to ADHD, since the animal model of the GIT1 gene-deficient hetero type is more likely to survive and adapt to the environment than a knock-out (KO) type animal model.
