The present invention relates to a composition for promoting an anti-cancer activity comprising a Carthamus tinctorius L. seed extract as an active ingredient and, more specifically, to a composition for promoting an anti-cancer activity comprising a Carthamus tinctorius L. seed extract which promotes an anti-cancer activity when administered in combination with cisplatin and alleviates a side effect of cisplatin, to a health functional food for promoting the anti-cancer activity of cisplatin comprising the same, and to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating colorectal cancer comprising the Carthamus tinctorius L. seed extract and cisplatin.
