The present invention relates to a method and a system for outputting an augmented reality 3D image for a historic site. According to the present invention, the method for outputting an augmented reality 3D image for a historic site comprises the steps of: enabling a portable terminal to drive an application to detect terminal location information of the portable terminal, and transmitting a request signal for an augmented reality 3D image of a historic site together with the detected terminal location information to a server; determining, by the server, whether there exists a historic site corresponding to the request signal in a peripheral area of the received terminal location information; allowing the server to fetch the augmented reality 3D image corresponding to the historic site if there exists the historic site; transmitting the withdrawn augmented reality 3D image and image location information for displaying the augmented reality 3D image from the server to the portable terminal; and overlapping and displaying the received augmented reality 3D image on a real image in a location corresponding to the image location information in the historic site by the portable terminal.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
