The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a block copolymer capable of controlling the shape of the block copolymer and the block copolymer manufactured by using the same. The method for manufacturing shape-controlled block copolymer particles of the present invention comprises steps of: preparing the block copolymer; mixing a polymer solution manufactured by dissolving the prepared block copolymer in an organic solvent with an aqueous surfactant solution to manufacture oil-in-water emulsion droplets containing the block copolymer; and evaporating the organic solvent which is a step of forming underwater particles, while controlling the evaporation rate of the organic solvent from the emulsion droplets.
