Disclosed are an apparatus for verifying a weather satellite detection result in consideration of time and space continuity and a method thereof. The method for verifying a detection result for specific weather obtained through a weather satellite comprises the steps of: identifying a detection result of specific weather for a verification area to be verified from observation areas photographed through the weather satellite in accordance with a predetermined time period; deciding an error probability for the detection result of the specific weather by determining time continuity and space continuity with respect to pixel values of the verification area based on the detection result of the specific weather identified in accordance with the predetermined time period; and correcting the detection result of the specific weather based on the decided error possibility for the detection result of the specific weather.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
