The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating spinal cord injury containing a neutrophil elastase inhibitor. The composition for preventing or treating spinal cord injury containing the neutrophil elastase inhibitor according to the present invention is developed by firstly grasping an Ang-Tie-2 signal signaling pathway of the neutrophil elastase inhibitor, thereby being utilized as a therapeutic agent for spinal cord injury which currently does not have the therapeutic agent but it is highly necessary.
