The present invention relates to a seedling mat and a method for constructing a seedling growing environment in a seedling box using the same and, more specifically, to a seedling mat comprising fibrous layers and a method for constructing a seedling growing environment in a seedling box, which enables construction of mats among seedlings in a seedling box at an early stage and can reduce the use of bed soil using the same. According to the present invention, the seedling mat has excellent air-permeability, moisture absorption, and drainage by a plurality of fibrous layers which are vertically stacked, and has an advantage of stably producing rice seedlings as the fibrous layers are needle-punched with a base part to secure the root of seeds and support the fibrous layers. According to the present invention, the method for constructing a seedling growing environment in a seedling box using the seedling mat facilitates the operation due to reduced processes for uniformly adjusting the thickness of bed soil since the bed soil is laid only as a single layer, and reduces the use of the bed soil, such that the economic efficiency is achieved and pH adjustment is easy. In addition, transport and management are facilitated at the time of transplantation of rice seedlings, thereby improving the production efficiency. Moreover, it is advantageous in that mats among the seedlings can be formed early since the roots of a large number of seeds are grown in the seedling mat.
