The present invention relates to an apparatus for feeding packaging material for wrapping a steel coil, which feeds packaging material to be used for penetrating the center of a steel coil to wrap the outer surface of the steel coil. According to the present invention, the apparatus for feeding packaging material for wrapping a steel coil comprises: a feeding unit disposed on one side of the steel coil to feed the packaging material; a wrapping roll forming unit disposed between the steel coil and the feeding unit to support a wrapping roller and winding the packaging material fed from the feeding unit on the wrapping roller to form a wrapping roll; and a transfer robot transferring the wrapping roll from the wrapping roll forming unit to a closed curve-type transfer path. Thus, a feeding process of the packaging material used for wrapping the steel coil and a wrapping process of the steel coil are automated, thereby providing effects of preventing safety accidents and increasing process efficiency and productivity.
