Provided is an apparatus for obtaining health information. The apparatus can comprise: a measurement unit measuring bioelectrical impedance of a subject of a plurality of frequencies; an interpolation unit generating an interpolated curve defined by resistance (R) and reactance (X) by applying an interpolation method designated to measurement values of the bioelectrical impedance; a calculation unit calculating frequency of a point where the reactance (X) is maximized among points existing on the interpolated curve as central frequency of the bioelectrical impedance; and a determination unit determining a health state of the subject by comparing a stored value in the designated database with at least one of a phase angle, the resistance (R), and the reactance (X) corresponding to the central frequency.
