The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and a food composition for preventing or alleviating NAFLD which contain a Polygonatum odoratum extract as an active component. Since the composition containing the Polygonatum odoratum as the active component of the present invention has an effect of effectively reducing the accumulation of neutral fats in a liver cancer cell line (HepG2), the composition of the present invention can be usefully used as the pharmaceutical composition or the food composition for preventing or treating NAFLD.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
