The present invention relates to a method of producing transgenic Nannochloropsis microalgae with increased biomass using an RHP1 gene derived from Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. According to the present invention, by overexpressing the RHP1 gene derived from Chlamydomonas reinhardtii in Nannochloropsis microalgae, it is possible to increase the concentration of intracellular inorganic carbon (Ci) in the transgenic Nannochloropsis microalgae (CrRHP1) and also to dramatically increase the growth speed thereof. Thus, the present invention may be beneficially used to increase the productivity of Nannochloropsis microalgae for bioenergy.
