The present invention relates to a free swirl system and a gas turbine including the same, which can guarantee the optimum flow amount and flow rate by controlling an area in which air flows. To the end, the present invention comprises: a plurality of swirl unit bodies to swirl air; and a plurality of connecting units disposed at each gap between the plurality of swirl unit bodies adjacent to each other in order to connect the plurality of swirl unit bodies in a circular shape. Furthermore, each of the plurality of connecting units can be stretched along a circumferential direction of the plurality of swirl unit bodies.
