The present invention relates to a system and method for monitoring mechanical impedance during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to monitor mechanical impedance of the thoracic cavity of a patient according to pressure when CPR is performed on a patient. The system and method may efficiently improve quality of CPR by measuring mechanical impedance of the thoracic cavity of a patient at high speed according to pressure without having a complicated process installing an electrode and a sensor and quickly providing the mechanical characteristics of the thoracic cavity of the patient to a CPR practitioner when CPR is performed on the patient.
