According to various embodiments of the present invention, the present invention relate to a bidirectional cooling system, and more particularly, to a bidirectional cooling system for minimizing a cell-to-cell temperature deviation of a battery module. To this end, the bidirectional cooling system of the present invention comprises: a battery module including a plurality of battery cells and a housing including an inlet into which cooling air is introduced, at one side of the battery cells and an outlet through which the cooling air is discharged, at the other side of the battery cells; an air temperature sensor for sensing an air temperature of the inlet; a module temperature sensor for sensing a temperature of the battery cells; a cooling fan rotated in a forward or reverse direction to allow the cooling air to flow from the inlet to the outlet or from the outlet to the inlet of the battery module; and a control unit for rotating the cooling fan in a forward direction to allow the cooling air to flow to the outlet from the inlet when the air temperature obtained from the air temperature sensor is lower than a reference air temperature and a module temperature obtained from the module temperature sensor is higher than a reference initial module temperature, and rotating the cooling fan in a reverse direction to allow the cooling air to flow to the inlet from the outlet when the module temperature obtained from the module temperature sensor is higher than a reference final module temperature higher than the reference initial module temperature.
