Disclosed are an energy harvesting device fused with a piezoelectric method and a capacitive method, and an energy harvesting method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the energy harvesting device comprises: a piezoelectric element deformed to generate electric energy; and a variable capacitor having a variable capacitance and harvesting the electric energy generated by the piezoelectric element. Meanwhile, deformation of the piezoelectric element and variation of capacitance of the variable capacitor may be caused by the same external force. According to another embodiment of the present invention, the energy harvesting method fused with a piezoelectric method and a capacitive method comprises: an electric energy generating process of generating electric energy by deforming a piezoelectric element; and an electric energy harvesting process of harvesting the electric energy generated by the electric energy generating process through a variable capacitor having variable capacitance. The piezoelectric element of the present specification is deformed in accordance with an external environment to generate electric energy, and the variable capacitor serves as a role of squeezing the electric energy generated by the piezoelectric element and maximally transferring the same to a load. Accordingly, a technology of effectively utilizing the electric energy generated by the piezoelectric element is proposed.
