The present invention relates to a vacuum suspension plasma spray apparatus and a vacuum suspension plasma spray method. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the vacuum suspension plasma spray apparatus comprises: a vacuum chamber; a pressure control apparatus which keeps the pressure inside the vacuum chamber at 10-500 millibars; a plasma gun which includes: a plasma generation unit placed in the vacuum chamber to generate plasma, and a spray unit which sprays the generated plasma; a drip-free atomizing nozzle placed to supply suspension to the plasma sprayed by the plasma gun; and a suspension supply unit which communicates with the drip-free atomizing nozzle to supply the suspension to the drip-free atomizing nozzle. The suspension is a mixture of powder and solvent. The powder includes one or more of metallic powder, oxide-based ceramic powder, and non-oxide-based ceramic powder. The solvent includes one or more of water, alcohol, benzene, and toluene. The present invention aims to provide a vacuum suspension plasma spray apparatus and a vacuum suspension plasma spray method, which are able to form a dense, thick coating within a short period.
