Provided is a method for providing literature content in consideration of personal preference, which is performed in a literature vending machine. According to the present invention, the method comprises the steps of: classifying literature content stored in a database for each theme; determining the weight for each theme on the literature content; recognizing personal information from a user; confirming the literature content read by the user through the personal information on the user, recognizing preference of the user on the basis of the weight of the literature content, and recommending the literature content corresponding the preference of the user; outputting the literature content; transmitting a paper shortage signal to a manager terminal through a server when a remaining amount of a printing paper used for outputting the literature content is insufficient; and storing user information to allow continuous reading for the literature content to be performed on the basis of the personal information on the user.
