The present invention provides pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a method for manufacturing the same, and a pharmaceutical composition containing the same. The pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidine derivatives or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof can selectively inhibit cathepsin K, thereby being able to be usefully applied for preventing or treating osteoporosis.
