The present invention relates to a method for Pd-catalyzed hydroxycarbonylation of diisobutene (DIBN): acetic acid/DIBN ratio. The present invention is to provide an excellent conversion ratio in Pd-catalyzed hydroxycarbonylation of DIBN. The method comprises the following steps of: a) adding DIBN; b) adding a compound including Pd which can form a complex; c) adding a ligand L1; d) adding 5 to 8 mol of acetic acid per mol of DIBN; e) supplying CO; and f) heating the reactive mixture and converting DIBN into a compound P1.
