An aspect is a hard capsule formulation comprising an immediate release part in a tablet form comprising memantine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and a sustained release part in the tablet form comprising memantine or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which provides: the hard capsule formulation, wherein a dissolution rate of memantine or the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is 30 to 50% in an hour, and 40 to 60% in two hours; and a manufacturing method thereof. The hard capsule formulation according to the aspect comprises the immediate release part and the sustained release part at the same time, thereby having excellent initial bioavailability and having sustained release characteristics to increase patient compliance with medication. Therefore, the hard capsule formulation can be usefully used as a prophylactic or therapeutic agent for early and severe Alzheimers disease.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
