The present invention relates to a fluorescent probe compound having beta-galactosidase selectivity represented by chemical formula 1. The fluorescent probe compound having beta-galactosidase selectivity according to the present invention shows high selectivity for beta-galactosidase, has excellent luminescent properties and enables direct and real-time visualization of the beta-galactosidase in vivo, especially in hepatocytes.
