The object of the present invention is to provide a polymer liquid crystal compound, a liquid crystal composition, a light absorption anisotropic film using the same, a laminate, and an image display device capable of forming a light absorption anisotropic film with high degree of orientation. The liquid crystalline composition of the present invention comprises a polymer liquid crystal compound containing a repeating unit represented by formula (1) and a dichroic substance, wherein the logP value of P1, L1 and SP1 in formula (1) The difference from the logP value is 4 or more.
