摘要

The present invention relates to a photochromic diaryethene compound and a production method thereof. The photochromic diaryethene compound can easily and reversibly form a ring-closure structure and a ring-opening structure according to irradiation with ultraviolet light, and is capable of selective response design because of being used as a monomer for the production of various photochromic polymers by using substituents attached to an ethene moiety, a bridging unit in the photochromic diaryethene compound.
