The present invention relates to a food composition for ameliorating wrinkles comprising a steamed gastrodiae rhizoma extract and a production method thereof and, more specifically, to a food composition for ameliorating wrinkles comprising a steamed gastrodiae rhizoma extract as an active ingredient, wherein the steamed gastrodiae rhizoma extract shows increased elastase inhibitory activities, and a production method thereof. The food composition for ameliorating wrinkles according to the present invention degrades elastin in the skin cells to exhibit an effect of inhibiting the elastase activity affecting the wrinkle generation, thereby having an excellent skin wrinkle ameliorating effect.
