HETEROGENEOUS COMPUTING SYSTEM CONFIGURED TO ADAPTIVELY CONTROL CACHE COHERENCY

A heterogeneous computing system configured to adaptively control the cache coherency of the present invention includes heterogeneous first and second processors. The second processor sequentially executes a plurality of kernels offloaded from the first processor. A coherency controller classifies each of the kernels into either the first group or second group based on the attributes of instructions included in each of the kernels before the kernels are executed. The coherency controller reclassifies kernels in execution into either the first group or second group based on the degree that data related to the kernels in execution among the kernels in the second group is shared by the first processor.
