The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a carbon coated dual phase niobium oxide having a high specific capacity, excellent electrical properties, and stability. The method for manufacturing the carbon coated dual-phase niobium oxide according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises steps of: adding a titanium material to a first solvent to form a first mixed solution; conducting primary solvent thermal synthesis reaction of the first mixed solution to form a dual-phase niobium oxide; adding the dual-phase niobium oxide and a carbon material to a second solvent to form a second mixed solution; and conducting a secondary solvent thermal synthesis reaction of the second mixed solution to form the carbon coated dual phase niobium oxide.
