Provide are methods and systems for testing phase antenna arrays. The method for testing phase antenna arrays can locate a phase antenna array and a probe antenna in positions relative to each other, wherein one of the phase antenna array and the probe antenna may be operated as a transmitter and one of the same may be operated as a receiver. The transmitter can sequentially radiate a plurality of electromagnetic waves and the phase antenna array is differently adjusted or configured with respect to each of the radiated electromagnetic waves. The receiver responds to each of the radiated electromagnetic waves to receive corresponding received radio frequency (RF) signals. A processor may use the received RF signals to determine one or more performance parameters of the phase antenna array.
