The present invention relates to meringue composition which can create a high value only with natural materials harmless to the human body and a method for producing a meringue using the same. The meringue composition is made of egg white and sweet persimmon powder. The method for producing a meringue comprises: a raw material input step of adding sweet persimmon powder to egg white; and a whipping step of stirring the ingredients so that the egg white and the sweet persimmon powder are evenly mixed. The meringue can be easily made by using only natural materials which are harmless to the human body.
