The present invention relates to a composition for meat softening improved in deodorization, comprising an Abeliophyllum distichum extract as an active ingredient, and expected to soften meat, remove unique meat smell, improve the moisturizing of gravy, improve the clarity of original color of meat, maintain the original color, and have a synergistic effect, in addition to exhibiting excellent functionality in deodorization. To this end, the present invention contains an Abeliophyllum distichum leaf extract, fruit extract, root extract, bark extract, seed extract or a mixture extract thereof as an active ingredient, wherein the active ingredient includes one or both components of verbascoside or polyphenol.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
