The present invention relates to a method for synthesizing a tungsten oxide powder by a polymer solution method and tungsten oxide synthesized by a synthesis method thereof. Specifically, the present invention provides the synthesis method of the tungsten oxide powder and the tungsten oxide powder synthesized by the synthesis method, wherein the synthesis method comprises: a first step of preparing a solution in which tungsten salt is dissolved in water; a second step of forming a transparent sol by adding indium nitrate hydrate to the solution; a third step of adding PVA to the sol to form a mixture; a fourth step of adding a nitric acid to the mixture to form a precursor sol; a fifth step of drying the precursor sol at 150°C for 24 hours; and a sixth step of calcining the dried precursor sol at 500°C for 4 hours. According to the present invention, a WO_3 powder to which In_2O_3 is added can be synthesized using a PVA solution method.
