The present invention provides a wireless remote control system for a street light, which comprises: a plurality of local controlling devices (110) forming a mesh network (MN) with one another by using a 900 MHz band wireless frequency, installed to be matched with every street light group composed of one street light (10) or a plurality of street lights (10), and controlling the matched street light (10) to be turned on/off according to a control signal received through the mesh network (MN); a control server (120) outputting the control signal for actuating each of the street light (10) in an integrated manner according to an input signal or programmed details; and a gateway (130) connected with each of the local controlling devices (110) with a signal through the mesh network (MN) in order to output the control signal received from the control server (120) to the designated local controlling device (110). In addition, when the packet of the received control signal matches with a designated condition, the local controlling device (110) operates by relay station (RS) and transmits the packet to the designated local controlling device (110). During the RS operation, the local controlling device transmits the packet after back-off time is passed in which the maximum range is a designated set time after receiving the packet. Therefore, the wireless remote control system for a street light can significantly reduce system establishing costs.
