Disclosed are a method for recommending a food in response to a user condition based on an artificial intelligence (AI) and an apparatus thereof. According to the method of an embodiment of the present invention, usage information is obtained from a mobile terminal and an external terminal connected to the mobile terminal, a user condition is determined through an AI apparatus, and then a preference food of a user is determined in response to the user condition, thereby providing a user life with the convenience. According to the present invention, the apparatus may be linked to an artificial intelligence module, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a robot, an augmented reality (AR) apparatus, a virtual reality (VR) apparatus, an apparatus related to a 5G service, etc.
