Disclosed by the present invention are naphthamido-phenylazandiyl derivatives, a composition for detecting uranyl ions including the same and a uranyl ion detecting method using the same. The composition for detecting uranyl ions: selectively detects only uranyl ions among metal ions to represent fluorescence and effectively detects uranyl ions even if metal ions are present at the same time, thereby being beneficially used for selectively detecting uranyl ions; can also be useful for measuring and quantifying the concentration of uranyl ions since the intensity of fluorescence changes depending on the concentration of uranyl ions; can be beneficially used to quantify the amount of uranyl ions through the amount of the composition by being combined with uranyl ions at the ratio of 1:1; and can detect uranyl ions in aqueous solution, thereby being useful when detecting uranyl ions of organisms, water or soil having aqueous environment.
