The present invention relates to a starting control method for multiple water supply pumps using a soft starter. When a water supply demand is made in a pump stop state to start a pump for the first time, while using a soft starter to start the pump to operate pump, the supply of power of the pump in operation is switched by an electric switch (magnet contact) at the moment when the water supply demand increases to require additional pumps to be started to disconnect the soft starter, then connect pumps to be additionally connection, and then start the pumps. The present invention removes water hammering and an excessive starting current during live starting or stopping of pumps to reduce energy by a starting or a stopping control method of eliminating a sudden start or a sudden stop of pumps to be additionally started or stopped by a single soft starter without water hammering when additionally starting or stopping the pumps in accordance with a water supply demand in a stop state or a state where multiple pumps are in operation in parallel.
