The cutting tool includes a tool body having an internal insert receiving pocket arranged therein with a cutting insert elastically clamped therein and an external insert receiving pocket arranged around. The tool body includes a through recess defined at least in part by the recess peripheral surface. The elastic clamping member extends into the through recess. The inner insert receiving pocket is formed by the recess pocket portion of the recess peripheral surface and the elastic clamping member. The chamfering cutting insert can be held by the elastic clamping member without using an additional individual clamping device.
