The present invention relates to a method for preparing traditional Korean sweets using glutinous rice flour and traditional Korean sweets prepared thereby. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of: washing glutinous rice to naturally ferment the same; washing the glutinous rice again, drying the same, and then grinding the same to prepare glutinous rice flour; preparing a glutinous rice dough with the glutinous rice flour, soymilk, and water; steaming the glutinous rice dough to prepare a shape of a glutinous rice cake; separating the glutinous rice cake into an appropriate shape, spreading the same at a predetermined thickness, and drying the same to prepare a glutinous rice base; cutting the glutinous rice base into a base size of a sweet rice puff or fruit snack, and aging the same; soaking and frying the aged glutinous rice base in oil twice; and coating the fried glutinous rice base with a grain syrup containing papaw fruit powder, and then coating the same with natural powder selected from the group consisting of fresh shoots of thorny ash, white lotus, sweet pumpkin, and paprika, mixed with popped rice. The traditional Korean sweets of the present invention do not have oil smell, are easily digested, and do not cloy. Also, harmful substances to a human body due to acidification of oil generated when the traditional Korean sweets are prepared, can be maximally prevented, and the taste and functionality of the traditional Korean sweets are improved.
